Following up on successful 2007 media campaigns, the Alliance, in cooperation with the New York State Department of Health and Dream Catcher Communications, is using funding provided from the New York State Budget to launch a statewide cable TV, online and New York City subway advertising campaign. The advertising features the New York State Donate Life logo, and a new easy to use web address with a direct link to the Donate Life Registry. The cable TV ads, entitled “Special People” will run throughout the State in April and May. Both a 30 second and 60 second radio spot was aired for three months in late 2007 and early 2008.

In addition, organ donation messages are being run on Department of Motor Vehicles electronic message boards and highway billboards were placed in the Albany, New York area (see below). Designed to coincide with Donate Life month in April, this advertising directs New Yorkers to become organ, eye and tissue donors by enrolling in the State Donate Life Registry at the Department of Motor Vehicles or by visiting www.donatelifenys.net .
