Legislation sponsored by Senator Kemp Hannon and Assemblyman Sam Hoyt in late 2003 was signed into law creating a special license plate dedicated to the issue of organ and tissue donation. This plate has been designed by the Department of Motor Vehicles and the New York Alliance for Donation. Twenty dollars of the annual fee from each plate will go to the Life Pass It On Trust Fund. This fund will be administered by the Commissioner of Health and is specifically earmarked for organ and tissue donor awareness and education projects.

Scroll down the choices of custom plates that support a cause until you find the one that says Life…Pass It On. By selecting this custom plate you will help increase awareness of the need for organ, eye and tissue donation just by driving your car.
